Salary Range:

Mental Health Coordinator, Grade 9, exempt, $71,047.09 - $99,465.92 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Senior Mental Health Coordinator, Grade 11, exempt, $81,341.82 - $113,878.54 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

Partner with Region V+ Counties, Adult Mental Health Initiative, schools, mental health providers, medical providers, family services collaboratives, local mental health advisory councils, and stakeholders, to coordinate regional mental health initiatives. Initiate and facilitate regional meetings to address gaps identified in the regional 2021 Greater State of Mind project. Work with counties and stakeholders to provide administration and coordination of future mental health projects as they are identified.

Essential  Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Region V+ Adult Mental Health Initiative and Counties in building regional mental health services for children, families, and adults from prevention to acute level of care.

• Engage with mental health partners within the region to address mental health needs and service delivery
• Lead service development as directed, in various areas of behavioral health and assist with initial coordination of new services.
• Gather information, collaborate with stakeholders and partners, and provide the research necessary in order to execute the short and long-term goals of the AMHI, Counties, and Sourcewell.
• Collaborate with others to identify impact of policy changes and service gaps and provide data on the current mental health system.
• Communicate changes and/or opportunities to counties, mental health providers, and stakeholders and partner with them to develop solutions.

Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and facilitate meetings with local governments, schools, mental health providers, consumers, and other community partners.

• Provide outreach and education to local governments, mental health providers, and stakeholders on issues surrounding behavioral health and recommendations identified in the 2021 Greater State of Mind project.
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings between local governments, community partners, mental health providers, and consumers to address gaps identified in the 2021 Greater State of Mind project.
• Participate in regional mental health coalition and networking meetings.
• Engage community partners from a wide variety of disciplines to develop solutions to mental health needs in the region.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate Community Bridgemakers mental health subgroup meetings.

Provide administration and coordination of future mental health projects.

• Work with counties and stakeholders across all phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, risk mitigation, monitor and control, and close.
• Identify and structure work streams for assigned initiatives, work with project team to organize solution roadmaps and reach critical milestones.
• Collaborate with counties and stakeholders to mitigate risks and proactively support planned and/or unplanned needs.
• Serve as primary resource to project team to remove obstacles, provide solutions, and assist partners in achieving project objectives.
• Engage various partners throughout the life of the project to ensure success.
• Assist counties with identifying, writing, administering, and reporting applicable grants.
• Oversee available regional reporting, including reviewing and working with state and local providers on data integrity.

Engage in policy reform in areas of concern or significant county impact.

• Assist and participate on state and local leadership teams to suggest and draft legislative priorities related to mental health.
• Testify to legislation on both statewide policy and local polices to improve the mental health system.
