JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Regional Fleet Manager, you will work directly with our fleet management, dispatch, commercial driving staff and leadership team. This role will be responsible for maintaining our fleet vehicles that include day cab and sleeper tractors and a fleet of CO2, Fuel and Dry Van trailers. Your primary areas of focus are related to preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, coordination with dispatch to ensure equipment availability and maintaining parts inventory at shop location and remote sites. This role will promote, direct and coordinate fleet repair and maintenance efforts across multiple groups and locations throughout the designated region.
Coordinate, administer and monitor the maintenance, repair, replacement and logistics of company vehicles in our Northern Region (MN, NE, SD, IA).
Maintain necessary licenses and certifications for transportation equipment.
Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out per schedule and monitor post performance throughout assigned territory.
Oversee the performance of vendors and, if necessary, undertake the timely repair and servicing of damaged vehicles in order to minimize downtime.
Manage the inventory of spare parts for vehicles, in coordination with fleet manager, in order to ensure an adequate supply and accurate accounting throughout assigned territory.

This is an on-site role located in Bingham Lake, MN

REQUIREMENTS (What you need to bring)
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years’ experience in a transportation-related field
CDL Class A with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, or ability to attain within 6 months.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
You can travel 50% of the time and sometimes without notice.
You are patient and have the ability to remain level-headed and effectively communicate while managing high-intensity situations involving accidents and/or incidents.
You have experience in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry.
You have a working knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT regulations.
You know the basics of Microsoft’s Office Suite, TMW, PeopleNet, or other Transportation software platforms and are capable of learning new programs.
You communicate effectively. You write well and speak articulately. You are comfortable communicating in writing and over the phone.
You are a proactive self-starter, able to work independently and within a team structure.
You like helping people. You really enjoy exceeding someone else’s expectations.
You pay attention to the details but also see the “big picture.” For you, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every time.
You are a learner, not afraid of taking on new things and stretching yourself. You are not afraid to ask questions, as you’re always looking to improve and help others.
