About the role

Ascentria Care Alliance employees and volunteers take pride in the impact they have on the people they serve. It’s more than just a job, it’s an opportunity our employees have to care for and share in the lives of people who greatly need and appreciate their presence. Ascentria Care Alliance focuses on every child, elder, person with a differing ability, refugee, teenage mom – and whomever they call “family” - in order to build stronger communities one person at a time, ensuring that they experience New England as home to caring communities where people experience love, belonging, wellbeing, and hope. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape the impact of a $150 M non-profit social services organization with programs throughout New England.

The Regional Facilities Manager – Leased Properties works under the direction of the Vice President of Real Estate and is responsible for the effective and safe operation of all leased facilities and properties for Ascentria Care Alliance. The Facilities Manager works in close collaboration with Ascentria program managers, staff and the Manager of Client Center Operations (MOCCO) to ensure that the organization’s physical leased facilities are well maintained, cost-effectively operated, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. This hybrid position involves regular travel within Massachusetts and New Hampshire and occasional travel to other New England states as needed.

What you'll do:

  • Plan and oversee facility needs, including vendor selection, project scope, and managing projects not covered by building ownership.
  • Coordinate landlord-performed work with facility operations teams and manage communications with MOCCO.
  • Negotiate leases, energy contracts, and vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with lease terms and legal regulations.
  • Conduct physical inspections and coordinate remedial work with landlords to address building maintenance.
  • Manage office relocations, redesigns, storage protocols, and coordinate with IT for program moves.
  • Oversee facility-related contracted services like janitorial and waste disposal, and maintain safety and security systems.
  • Support budget preparation and monitor facility-related costs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, HUD, and insurance inspection requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of facility management experience and strong knowledge of commercial leases, local lease markets, and building maintenance protocols.
  • In-depth understanding of state and federal laws related to physical facilities, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and budgeting skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to handle emergencies, nights, weekends, holidays, and travel across New England as needed.
  • Committed to Ascentria’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and able to work collaboratively with a professional, team-oriented approach.
