Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?
The Receptionist - Per Diem is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail and providing clerical support as requested. In addition, the Receptionist prepares weekday deposits, prepares monthly statements for mailing, assists with various clerical duties and projects as assigned, and may assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned as well as maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back up as needed.
- Follow the facility guest relations program when greeting and assisting all visitors, ensuring all visitors sign the visitor log and obtain a visitor pass.
- Answer and disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner within three rings.
- Utilize the paging system to announce callers as required.
- Collate admission folder as required.
- Keypunch revised patient data as required.
- Complete administrative duties foe the Admissions department as required.
- Process all outgoing and incoming mail.
- Maintain schedule for the receptionists. Responsible for getting coverage for all shifts and be back up if unable to get PRN coverage.
- Inform the weekend receptionists regarding policy changes made during the week. .
- Input authorization letters in patient files.
- Reconcile monthly Petty Cash for Business Office Director.
- Reconcile daily dietary cash.
- Coordinate outside meetings with room assignments.
- Data entry step-downs into HMS.
- Stamp, date lab results and distribute.
Shift Requirements:
- 8:00am - 4:30pm
- 9:00am - 5:30pm
Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
- Education & Licensure (if applicable): High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
- Additional Skill Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours..
