What You'll Do:
Performs a variety of duties to ensure the accuracy of goods received into the Receiving Department and computer system. Works from delivery receipts, packing slips, delivery memorandums, manifest, other written/verbal instructions. Communicates information to interested parties through both written and verbal communication.
• Verifies accuracy of packing slips, manifests, and delivery receipts against product brought into the company. Verifies all counts and weights are correct.
• Reports damage and shortages to the Purchasing and Shipping/Receiving departments.
• Ensures all appropriate documentation is present with shipment at time of delivery.
• Transacts all delivery receipts into ERP system. Scans all documentation for electronic filing.
• Prepares and maintains all receiving records.
• Works with Purchasing and Accounting to reconcile all delivery receipts.
• Monitors receiving inspection for flow of goods.
• Notifies appropriate party of receipt of returned goods (RMA).
• Transacts product and paperwork to and from outside vendors.
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in receiving
• Basic knowledge with MS Office Suite, SAP a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Must be certified to drive forklifts or pass certification exam during initial trial period.
What you may be doing:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
