Beyond Yoga operates as a standalone brand with the benefit of LS&Co.’s global capabilities to help it achieve its goals of brand-building, store opening, category expansion and distribution.

Position Overview: We are looking for a Fabric Development Associate will support in the fabric development process from initial concept through to mass production approval. This role involves coordinating fabric samples, maintaining fabric data, and facilitating communication with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of textile properties, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

 Key Responsibilities:

Fabric Development Management:

  • Follow up on fabric developments from the initial brief through to mass production approval.

  • Coordinate requests for fabric proto and sample yardage, specifications, and test reports.

  • Set up and maintain seasonal and historical fabric data using PLM System and forms.

  • Track and manage development requests for fabric references, including coordinating with contractors for sample yardage used in finishing trials.

Testing & Analysis:

  • Document and review test results, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

  • Ensure all fabric developments meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Project Coordination:

  • Work closely with design, product development, and production teams to ensure fabric development aligns with product specifications and timelines.

  • Participate in meetings with suppliers to discuss fabric options, development progress, and technical details.

  • Coordinate requests to contractors for sample yardage and facilitate their use in finishing trials.

Fabric Library Management:

  • Create and maintain the RM physical and digital library with current FDS, test results, exception forms, development fabric header/production reference sample and lab dip/production color approval.

  • Organize and manage fabric library by construction category, ensuring easy access for team members.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and distribute reports on fabric development progress and findings for internal teams.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving fabric development processes and efficiency.

  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a position involving tracking and organizing a large amount of data

  • Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Excel

  • Textile or apparel experience strongly preferred

  • Proficient technical knowledge of yarn spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, polymers, and finishing processes.

  • Proficient technical knowledge of garment dry and wet processing, printing, and finishing processes.

  • Knowledge in the manufacturing of cut and sew garments.

  • Effective problem-solving abilities

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

  • Skill with organizing, analyzing and tracking a large amount of information

The expected starting salary range for this role is $55,900 - $80,500. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn
