We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in our Teesside region. The main purpose of the Quantity Surveyor role is to ensure cost control of developments, paying subcontractors and reporting movements with monthly valuations.
QUANTITY SURVEYOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contract management of appointed sub-contract trades
- Monthly valuation meetings with Key trades onsite.
- Expectation to attend meetings onsite (Development Meeting process) to discuss contractor performance/quality.
- Preparation of site budgets.
QUANTITY SURVEYOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience of working for a house building organisation or the wider construction sector is essential
- Numerical skills with ability to undertake cost analysis and to prepare budgets
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and demands on workload at any one time
- Able to use their own initiative to deal with subcontractor queries and assisting the site management teams as and when required.
