The Role

Sphere Solutions are partnering with their client to recruit a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to ensure housing projects are delivered profitably and to the required standards of cost, time, quality, safety and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide effective pre- and post-contract commercial support across Major and Minor Works projects.

* Assist with tender preparation, including obtaining competitive subcontractor and supplier quotations.

* Manage valuations, variations, payments and contract documentation, ensuring works are properly instructed and recorded.

* Monitor project costs, financial performance, programme and quality, taking action to maintain commercial targets.

* Ensure compliance with company procedures, financial regulations, health & safety requirements and statutory obligations, while providing accurate commercial reporting.

Candidate Specification:

* HNC or Equivalent level 5 qualification in building construction

* Experience of working as an quantity surveyor in the house building industry

* Have an understanding of the local supply chain

* Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety

* Extensive experience of how to delivery company profits

The role offers a competitive salary, 27 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, a 10% car allowance and payment of professional membership fees plus many more.
