Location: West Midlands, Warwick, Warwickshire

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Monday - Friday 

Industry: Construction - new build housing

Salary: £45,000 - £58,000 per annum

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning housing developer in Warwick. This business offers stability, a strong forward pipeline, exposure to high-quality developments and opportunities to progress within a company that continues to invest in its people and operations.

Job Duties

Prepare and manage detailed cost plans and budgets for new build housing projects from inception to completion.
Carry out regular cost reporting and forecasting to ensure projects remain within budget.
Undertake tender analysis, negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Monitor and value work in progress, prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
Manage procurement processes and assist in contract administration in line with company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Use COINS software to manage project costing, reporting, and financial control.
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects and engineers to resolve cost-related issues and ensure timely delivery.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety standards and company policies.
Provide support during audits and assist with risk management related to project costs.

Required Qualifications and Education

Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
Full, valid driving licence.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the new build housing sector.
Demonstrable experience using COINS or similar cost management software.
Experience in preparing cost plans, valuations, and managing tender processes.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of construction processes and contract administration.
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Packages and COINS (desired).

Working Conditions

Office-based role with regular site visits to project locations in the West Midlands area.
Full-time hours with flexible working from home options.
Use of personal or company vehicle for travel between sites; mileage or fuel allowance provided.
