ABOUT THIS ROLE
Apex Fintech Solutions is looking for a data-driven, intellectually curious Quantitative Researcher to develop and implement models that drive alpha generation, risk management, and portfolio construction. You’ll work alongside portfolio managers, engineers, and strategists to turn theory into real-world results.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and backtest predictive models using statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques
- Analyze large, high-dimensional datasets to extract actionable insights
- Contribute to signal research, factor modeling, and portfolio optimization frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models and ensure robust performance
- Continuously refine strategies based on market dynamics and performance feedback
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field (or equivalent work experience) required
- 3+ years of prior work experience
- Experience with alternative data or machine learning for financial applications preferred
- Exposure to portfolio theory, optimization, and risk modeling preferred
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred)
- Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and linear algebra
- Experience with financial data, markets, or asset pricing models a plus
- Familiarity with tools like pandas, NumPy, Pyomo, or SQL
- Understanding of execution algorithms and market microstructure
Work Environment
- This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week

Salary Range
$116,000-$145,000The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
