Quality Technician - 3rd shift (Temp to Direct Hire)

Join a fantastic team and work in a great location in Cheektowaga, NY!  We are in need of a Temp-to-Direct Hire Employee to work as our Quality Lab Technician.  This role is on  3rd shfit.  We offer competitive pay, generous shift differential, a newly air-conditioned plant, and a great team environment.  

Rate:  $21 - $22 / hour depending on experience plus $1.50 / hour shift differential.

Schedule:  Sunday night start at 11PM - 7AM.

Training: A minimum of  4 weeks is required on 1st shift to train before reporting to the night shift.

Job Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for in-process inspection and testing quality verification.  

• Ensures all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Documents. samples and quarantines non-conforming material and maintains other sample requirements as defined.
• Follows all safety policies and quality procedures.
• Conducts in-process inspections and tests verification for Quality, and Food Packaging Safety requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Associates degree is preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
• Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior 2 years quality lab experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail is required for this role.
• Strong basic math skills and be able to read a ruler and make measurements.
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude.
• Must be well organized.
• Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
