Essential Functions:

    • Set and maintain high standards and accuracy of work covering all provision for the Sanitation Program
    • Maintain all required certification for execution of plant sanitation processes.
    • Manage inventory levels and coordinating orders for all cleaning supplies and chemicals.
    • Provide training and administrative support to production and QA team to achieve sanitation related KPIs
    • Maintain document control including SOPs, policies, records, internal audits, and corrective actions related to the sanitation process.
    • Provide hands on training with sanitors and QA technicians responsible for cleaning and pre-operational inspection.
    • Conduct verification activities for sanitation process (including pre-operational inspection).
    • Conduct regular audits of the sanitation processes (titrations, chemical application, environmental sampling, etc.)
    • Complete necessary validations for changes completed as part of the sanitation process.
    • Oversee documentation and verification activities related to MSS.
    • Review all documentation generated as part of the sanitation process for completeness and compliance with the program.
    • Review the facility and documentation for trends/unacceptable results. Call out and facilitate completion of corrective actions for any negative trends identified.
    • Compiling and inputting Sanitation related KPIs (downtime, ATP results, titrations, chemical usage, micro, etc.)
    • Assure maintenance and calibrations are completed on all sanitation process equipment.
    • Coordinate approvals and audits of all cleaning chemicals within the facility.
    • Communicate plant needs to the Sanitation chemical vendor.
    • Coordinate activities (trainings, site visits, reviews, etc.) outlined in the service agreement with the Sanitation chemical vendor.

     

    Required Skills and Competencies:

    • Experience in Food/ Beverage Manufacturing preferred
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and Power Point
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems, results oriented
    • Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

     

    Proficiency Level:

    • This is where we would add the differentiations for I,II,III

     

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality or related discipline
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage industry
    • Knowledge of sanitation processes and chemical applications
    • Knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF) – certification ideal

     

    Working Conditions:

    • Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
    • Visual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
    • Work environment- Work and environment are very repetitive.
    • Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
