Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Data Analyst with strong experience in value-based care quality reporting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data extraction, transformation, automation, and visualization, and will play a key role in developing and maintaining high-impact dashboards and reports that drive clinical and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining automated dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational branding.
- Writing efficient code using SQL, Python, and DAX to extract and transform data from complex databases.
- Automating data integration workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline reporting processes.
- Leveraging complex Excel formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, IFERROR, etc.) for data manipulation and ad hoc analysis.
- Working in a fully remote environment with limited travel and virtually engage with the company and team in your daily work.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on entire scope of QI measures, services, customers and stars/VBC quality initiatives under various commercial and governmental payers.
- Ensuring daily reports and dashboards updates through fully automated, reliable data pipelines.
- Prioritizing work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic growing start-up.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Utilizing data analytics tools to analyze stars/VBC quality performance metrics and create dashboards that provide actionable insights for stakeholders. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to leadership, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Pulling aggregate and individual stars/VBC quality data from various data sources, including payer portals, as well as submitting supplemental data submissions for Medicare Advantage plans.
- Managing the analytics projects for stars/VBC quality programs, including but not limited to disease specific projects and projects targeting specific provider groups.
- Analyzing and interpreting stars/VBC quality data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in practice performance.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Proven experience with quality reporting in value-based care models.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, DAX, and Excel.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including building automated reports from live data sources.
- Experience with database file extraction and integration into reporting tools.
- Proficiency with Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow automation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate complex data and performance metrics to various audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders, through clear and compelling presentations
- At least one certificate from the list below (or equivalent) or experience with:
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
- Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Expert
- Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
- IBM or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate
- Oracle or PostgreSQL SQL certifications
- Completion of reputable online learning tracks or bootcamps in Python, R, or SQL (e.g., DataCamp, Coursera, edX)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of utilizing root-cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance operational performance.
