The Quality Manager (QM) will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of DRG’s Quality Plan. The QM will supervise quality personnel in the field and lead quality initiatives in the corporate office. The QM has the authority to perform day-to-day operations but must consult with senior leadership prior to making any decisions that impact budget, schedule, requirements or deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Supervise Assigned Quality Personnel in the field.
- Apply knowledge of quality policies, governmental regulations, and engineering principles to develop, document, and maintain quality systems, operating procedures, and long-range customer inspection plans.
- Develop and administer directives, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements, thereby assuring quality system compliance.
- Conduct configuration audits and reviews of products, tools, and processes, and compile, measure, and analyze process capability data to perform trend analyses and risk assessments.
- Utilize process improvement methodologies, such as root cause analysis, to plan and coordinate process improvements and ensure sequenced inspection control points, creating and maintaining inspection accountability systems.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement preventative measures, corrective actions, procedural changes, and process improvements, and present resultant findings.
- Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and manufacturing verification process.
- Create graphs and figures as needed to brief management on quality metrics.
- Interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Leads all external audits.
- Other duties as identified and assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, 5 plus years of quality management experience preferably in inspection, aerospace, or manufacturing is preferred. Management may waive portions of the quality management experience. Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus. Have or must be able to obtain the American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ CQA) certification. Must be proficient in defect identification, non-conformance data analysis, and thorough documentation skills. Must be proficient in knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methodologies, along with certification or training in AS9100 and/or AS9110 and Advanced Product Quality Planning. Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance, if applicable to assigned projects.
