Hoffman Specialty Contracting is seeking a Quality Manager. This individual will be an integral member of the on-site Quality Department, providing essential support throughout the lifecycle of a hyper-scaled data center construction project. Reporting to the Hoffman Specialty Contracting Quality Director, the role will work closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day site activities, verify compliance with contract documents, and uphold safety, quality standards, and design intent. The Quality Manager plays a critical leadership role directing HSC project quality field staff across multiple scopes in a complex mission-critical environment. The position requires experience in managing high-volume structural, CSA, and MEP scopes in parallel with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve coordination issues in the field. This position will be fully at the project site in Childress, TX.
Salary Range $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 DOE + Per Diem & Incentives
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all field construction QC activities, including metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and ceiling installations, collaborating closely with project engineers, superintendents, manufacturers, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Manage the Quality Team to ensure high performance, alignment with project goals, and seamless integration with overall construction operations.
- Direct the daily work of multiple QA/QC Programs.
- Drive execution of Quality Project Execution Plan and test and inspection plans (TIP’s).
- Monitor and review design documents to identify constructability errors or omissions.
- Ensure strict adherence to project-specific safety protocols and participate in safety audits and incident investigations.
- Coach site staff in proper means and methods for installation of HSC scope and convey Hoffman Specialties Quality standards of practice to site teams.
- Investigate, understand, and convey technical product properties and how they interact with scopes of work.
- Must be able to interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all local authority permitting, codes, and site specifications.
- Facilitate HSC activity ensuring performance to all contractual agreements.
- Assist management with project staffing for QC roles.
- Provide clear communication, verbally, written, and electronically.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Manage Inspections process and punch list
- Facilitate project close-out documentation
Qualifications

Professional Experience and Education
- Minimum 5 years’ construction and/or building design experience in one or more of the following categories preferred: on-site construction management; structural, mechanical, electrical, or architectural design (no license required).
- Proven experience managing framing, drywall, and ceiling scopes
- High School diploma or GED required.
Position Related Skills
- A strong commitment to safety compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific requirements.
- Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential to being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations.
- Ability to manage several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress.
- Advanced visual observation and interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work closely with clients, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Must be a dedicated team player, self-starter, flexible and able to work well with a variety of personalities and minimal instruction. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Strong working knowledge of project management and scheduling software such as Prolog, Procore, and Building Information Model (BIM360).
