Summary:
Maintains quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Inspects finished Commercial and Hi-Rel products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Complete final inspection on Commercial and Hi-Rel products for conformance to standards. Work with Production Supervisor and/or Leads for errors detected
- Inspects and approves Commercial and Hi-Rel materials and parts to determine conformance with specifications
- Reads engineering drawings to interpret required specifications
- Creates First Article Inspection Reports, standard and AS9102 types
- Interacts with Government Source Inspector, as needed
- Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents
- Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- At least 3 years experience as Inspector, or equivalent experience
- Machine Shop experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and inspection instructions
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to ensure delivery requirements
- Strong microscope skills and ability to operate precision measuring tools
- Clear communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, and navigating web based software
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision
