The Quality Checker/Controller is responsible for ensuring that target follows source, and no text is missing including all tracked changes in source documents are accurately implemented in target translations. This role involves meticulous review and verification of documents, focusing on both linguistic and non-linguistic elements to maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Duties:

1. Track Changes Quality Control:
• Verify tracked changes in target files against source documents to confirm all updates had been accurately reproduced.
2. Formatting:
• Ensure formatting changes are correctly applied and follow source.
3. Error Handling:
• Correct non-linguistic errors and flag linguistic issues for translators.
• Check for high-risk errors, such as incorrect medical details or patient instructions.
4. Verification:
• Ensure study titles and scope align with project requirements.
5. Document Updates:
• Update footers/headers, links and table of contents as needed.
6. Final Review:
• Perform a final check for formatting issues and deliver the completed files.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in multilingual quality control or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and its Review functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with translators and project managers.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with different language scripts and alphabets, particularly Korean and Japanese, is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in translation quality control or linguistic services.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.

Availability:

• Must be available to work during Asia business working hours
• Able to commit to at least 1-2 hours per day, as assignments are offered on a daily basis.
