This is a great opportunity for QA Lead Engineer interested in providing key contributions in a growing business. As a member of the Data Science Software R&D Team in the Advanced Compute Solutions (ACS) group, you will help deliver world-class hardware and software solutions to data science customers via a variety of software and cloud platforms.

This position is in Fort Collins, CO or Palo Alto, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Ownership of the QA automation strategy for front end (UI) and Back-end automation.

  • Work with leadership to identify a team of engineers devoted only to automation.

  • Plan and build required test data for automated tests which are self-contained and portable across distributed environments

  • Analyze complex functional requirements, perform research on current processes, design tests and create supporting documents, and interact with the product owners to develop test plans and test scripts

  • Work with test plan owners to identify test cases which can and cannot be automated.

  • Identify tools which would help automate the test plans and test cases.

  • Work with Devops team to integrate automation in the deployment pipelines.

  • Lead the effort to run automation as nightly builds and reporting to stake holders or test results

  • Lead the effort to have the automated test suites are updated with latest features and drops.

  • Be the sole point of contact for automation issues and escalations around automation.

  • Advocate best practices across other engineering teams with Brown Bags and cross team collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Testing Experience: Should have at least 7+ years of manual and automated testing of desktop or hosted application

  • Automation tools: Proficiency in automation tools like TestComplete, Cypress are a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in using Selenium, Junit, TestNG are desirable.

  • Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Java, Python or JavaScript.

Core Skills

  • Good analytical skills and the ability to convert user stories and performance data into testing plans/requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Automated API’s, UI Frameworks, and tools…

  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development process and tools – ADO, GitHub, CI/CD, etc.

Nice-To-Have Skills

  • Working experience with container workflows

  • Working experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus

  • Hands-on testing experience of AWS platform services & tools is a plus.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience as QA Lead Engineer, Sr. SW Engineer, or equivalent

The base pay range for this role is $104,800 to $157,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
