Quality Assurance Systems Clerk

Primary Function

Provide general clerical and systems support for the QA function at the Decatur Further Processing Facility.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Ensures the Hold Report is maintained and accurate, including reconciliation between inventory management system and hold report.

• Releases products in Adage after products are released from pre-shipment review (HACCP, microbiological/chemistry, paperwork review and final sign-off).

• Sets up products in varied databases as necessary.

• Downloads or generates statistical information daily, prints histograms and attaches to appropriate paperwork as necessary.

• Maintains, prints, and distributes any required charts and graphs.

• Responsible for product correlation (sensory) administration.

• Data entry of sieve analysis, customer requests, customer complaints, customer reports, statistical analysis, etc.

• Assists in maintaining and updating QA SOP’s and customer specification sheets.

• Distributes various reports and information across numerous levels of local and corporate leadership.

• Performs general clerical duties including filing and reconciliation of records on an ongoing basis.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years office or clerical experience.

• Proficient computer skills, specifically in MS Office.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

• Ability to work independently or as a team.

• Ability to follow directions but use independent judgment when necessary.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent organization, follow-up and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience

• AA degree or office specialist certificate

• 3-5 years clerical support experience

• ERP/SAP or other inventory control experience is a plus.
