Quality Assurance Engineer (Performance Testing) (Hybrid Onsite-Remote)

Position

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our software solutions and products reach our customers. You will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues. The ideal candidate is a reliable and competent professional whose approval will be necessary for the continuation of a business life cycle. The goal is to ensure the high quality of our operations and services aiming to the long-term success of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Performs integrations, stress, load, regression and performance testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance.
• Provides Performance testing software systems support for respective business unit.

• Coordinates and executes upon the creation of Test Cases, scripts and performance test execution.
• Design, develop, and execute scripts which validate, to a high degree of confidence, test cases defined within the project’s test plan.
• Perform automated load/performance testing across multiple messaging protocols (including HTTP), focusing on overall application performance - validating that application response and outputs accurately reflect business requirements.
• Tracks and communicates task progress, status, and key performance metrics.
• Report defects found in testing diligently, promptly, and accurately, using standard defect tracking tools.

• Communicate effectively across multiple teams/external vendors (Operations, Project Teams, Quality Service), and different personnel (Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Managers) when required.
• Expected to maintain technical expertise via self-education in areas governing computer sciences, performance/load testing dictums, and Quality Assurance.
• Design, develop, and execute performance test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements, mentoring other test team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related.
• 3 years’ experience in software application performance testing.
• Significant experience working with Jmeter, Load Runner or similar tool.
• Experience developing your own testing tools to facilitate performance testing is a major plus.
• Ability to work as part of a self-directed Agile team.
• Provide support and mentoring to distributed project teams on performance activities.
• Interface directly with the Performance Test Lead regarding performance test environment.
