The Quality Assurance Coordinator is an integral part of our Quality Control team based out of our US - Sarasota, FL site.

 

Position Details

Position exists to manage, a) the Control of Quality Records and Controlled Documents, including the Chain of Command. b) manage the cultures in terms of time frame for sampling to help assure efficient production runs through reduction of rework.  This position also provides assistance to the Quality Manager in all Quality aspects including training.   Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Chain of Custody program, watching transfer points and manage documentation as well as routine verification.
  • Documenting quality assurance activities and creating audit reports.
  • Perform mock recalls from suppliers of raw material to customers.
  • Maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, forms, SOPs on Share Point
  • Managing cultures in terms of determining regular sampling times to assure we have adequate counts going into production to help prevent re-blends.
  • Verify Quality programs on a routine basis.
  • Lead audits in the absence of the QA manager.
  • In the absence of the QA manager represent all QA and Food Safety systems.
  • Interfaces with other departments to establish and resolve QA/QC training needs.
  • Coordinate incoming complaints including allocating the complaints to the appropriate department for investigation and tracking resolution times.
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary.

Education & Experience

  • Master's Degree 
  • Knowledge of GMP and Quality Programs
  • Direct experience leading and conducting internal/external cGMP audits
  • Required experience in managing FDA inspections.
  • CQA certification is preferred
  • Understands the manufacturing and supply chain to drive collaboration and interaction to help improve efficiency.

Extremely high level of attention to detail and high standard of quality.Must be accurate, detail-oriented and thorough.Advanced organizational skills.Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office ProductsMust be proficient using Email, phones, cell phones, and office equipment.High degree of time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at once.Identify and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
