The Cognosante Enrollment Assistance Program (EAP) contracts with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Consumer Information and insurance Oversight (CCIIO) and supports outreach and enrollment in multiple states to ensure continuity of coverage for Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) consumers impacted by the Medicaid Unwinding following the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) or annual Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) redetermination process.
 
What is the position? 
The Quality Analyst reports to and supports the Quality Manager for the delivery of the quality assurance processes for the Cognosante Enrollment Assistance Program (EAP) contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO). The Quality Analyst will collaborate with project staff to evaluate and collect the quality and delivery of service as well as identify, analyze, and correct quality deficiencies or inequalities within the project. 
 
What will I get to do?  

As a QA Specialists, your role is to evaluate the service provided by the EAP Assisters and support performance improvement. This is accomplished by:

  • Develop deep familiarity of the contract stipulations and requirements
  • Develop an understanding of the EAP, Medicaid Unwinding impacts, and any state specific requirements
  •  The successful candidate will be expected to:
    • Pass a background check as required for certification
    • Successfully complete mandatory training and certification requirements within allotted timeframe
    • Adhere to prescribed conflict-of-interest prohibitions related to employment or compensation from health insurance issuers
  • Evaluate the work completed by Enrollment Assisters, including listening to calls and auditing documentation, to provide individual coaching, trend quality issues, and conduct root cause analysis to suggest improvements to advance performance and quality of services
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager by following the Quality Assurance, Improvement, and Control Plan that defines the approach, processes, schedule, and procedures for ensuring the quality and reliability of EAP products and services consistent with training certification standards
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager by performing quality assurance, data collection, and analytics
  • Identify and analyze quality trends for process improvement
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborate with Operations and Training to ensure development and execution of identified trends for process improvement
  • Assist with the development of the virtual quality improvement facilitated sessions to continuously improve the effectiveness of internal operations
  • Prepare reports that describe the quality assurance, improvement, and control activities undertaken
  • Leverage various QA and other systems to present process improvement ideas to the client and Executive Management
  • Other additional duties as assigned by the EAP Quality Assurance Manager


 
What qualifications do I need? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent experience in quality assurance role
  • Delivered quality assurance reviews and audits as a part of the Quality Plan
  • Experienced independent team player focused on project objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to research, evaluate/analyze, resolve, and find solutions to challenges 


 What additional characteristics will help me thrive?  

  • Advanced PC skills including in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in the healthcare or public health field
