About the role

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Assists in the creation, evaluation and improvement of quality directives/initiatives.
  2. Creates, maintains and updates internal Quality Access Databases.
  3. Assist Department Director with internally and externally reported organizational quality data.
  4. Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure quality standards are met.
  5. Serves as a recorder, which includes creating pre and post flow charts as needed, and distributing information as needed. Prepares Quality monitoring reports.  Assists with creation and updating of reporting mechanisms and formats.
  6. Organizes and coordinates meetings, conferences, and other departmental appointments.  Prepares department correspondence, memos, reports, responses, and forms.
  7. Prepares, manages and distributes documents (i.e. mail, correspondence, forms, requisitions, etc. Prepares communications to Medical Staff, Administration and various departments within Good Samaritan regarding quality improvement. Maintains records and filings systems (physical and electronic).
  8. Attends Quality meetings and other key meetings as requested by Department Director. Records, transcribes, and distributes minutes, agendas and reminder memorandums.
  9. Promotes and supports provider quality initiatives by performing accurate medical record reviews with appropriate follow-up.
  10. Assist with education and training on quality indicators/initiatives.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

  1. Performs general office duties as required.
  2. Other duties as assigned.
  3. Support and promote a healthy work environment.

Job Specifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business, Finance or Healthcare related field preferred, a minimum of AS degree in one of the previously mentioned fields is required.
