Qualified Medication Aide-QMA

At Heritage Pointe,  we believe that great care begins with great people. We’re looking for a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our team and play a vital role in supporting resident wellness, comfort, and dignity in a long-term care environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely administer medications and treatments within the QMA scope of practice

• Monitor resident responses and report changes to licensed nursing staff

• Perform vital signs, blood glucose testing, oxygen saturation checks, and other delegated tasks

• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with residents and team members

• Support resident independence and promote a respectful, compassionate environment

• Assist with minor treatments such as wound care, dressing changes, PRN medications (with nurse authorization), and specimen collection

• Respond to resident needs with professionalism, empathy, and urgency

Who You Are:

• A State-certified QMA in good standing

• Knowledgeable in medication administration, side effects, and safety protocols

• Detail-oriented, observant, and committed to documentation integrity

• Able to work independently while taking direction from licensed staff

• Emotionally mature, dependable, and dedicated to maintaining resident confidentiality

• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role (standing, lifting up to 40 lbs., bending, etc.)
