Task requirementsUnit Role: Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment. To prepare suitably trained, equipped and motivated officers and soldiers for operations both overseas and in the UK in support of Regular units, as individuals and as contingents.
Position Role: Regimental Operations Officer
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the standards in Logistics and Eqpt Care; Adviser to the CO and the CoC on all aspects of G4, Eqpt / Logistical Management and Care.
2. Responsible for the provision of all FTX and OTX based logistical support to the Regt.
3. Responsible for the management of all Regtl Technical stores/Material accounts, ensuring that they are accounted for in accordance with JSP 886.
4. Responsible for Army Reserve Centre infrastructure and property management across four separate geographical sites in liaison with RFCA and regional Bde.
5. Chair on behalf of the CO/UEM the Regt’s Equipment Care and SHEF meetings.
6. Responsible for Environmental control, disposal of waste and Vehicle Park safety across all sites.
7. Provide Welfare, Discipline, Administration and Career Management support for the personnel under his command both Military and Civil Servants.
8. Conduct period audits of those geographically dispersed sub units on behalf of the CO.
Experience in training environment. Desirable competencies Tp Ldr/Pl Comd
