Manufacturing Data Technical Analyst

Responsible for ensuring that all applications and product knowledge data adhere to high quality standards through integration, regression, systems and unit testing. While working under broad supervision with few direct instructions creates and executes various testing documentation based on technical and user requirements as well as understanding of the business process. Works beyond routine nature of tasks while testing, planning, documenting and supporting systems.

30 % Create Testing Documentation - Review functional specifications and identify gaps in process or functions based on knowledge. Develop test scripts, identify environment requirements and scenarios required to obtain expected results.
30 % Testing of Software and Product Knowledge Data - Ability to follow the test plan & timeline, test competently with a consistent quality of results, and document results.
15 % Project Plans - Ability to establish plans on several components of a project, or a complex component; identify risks and suggest a remediation plan; create traceability matrix and track metrics through the project cycle.
10 % Documentation – Create and verify user documentation, identify gaps with the information and provide suggestions for improvements.
10 % Support of systems – before, during, and after implementation. Troubleshoots complex problems, documents steps to reproduce, and recommends appropriate actions. Must be able to keep project team informed of issues with expected resolution time and any known workarounds as well as manager informed of issues which impact the readiness of the software.
5 % Update testing metrics & status - Provide daily updates to testing manager and project team.
Responsibilities outside of normal business hours: minimal; on a rotating basis with other team members, must validate system operability after updates are released to production.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years related work experience or two-year degree with 4+ years related technical experience. Industry certifications can be a substitute for degree depending on specific technical area. Experience with an automated testing package such as QuickTest Pro or TestDrive a plus.
Responsibilities:
Data Quality & Validation
Test and validate manufacturing data across integrated systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with business processes.
Verify proper data flows to manufacturing systems (Oracle) from ordering systems and integration platforms.
Ensure data consistency for fenestration product configurations and attributes, including specifications, pricing, and operational metrics.
Process & System Testing
Execute QA test plans for manufacturing data processes, including application functionality, reporting accuracy, and system interoperability.
Identify and resolve issues before production deployment to maintain system stability and performance.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and business teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Document issues, create user-friendly workarounds, and communicate resolutions effectively to stakeholders.
Keep team members informed of testing progress and readiness to eliminate confusion.
Data Analysis & Tools
Utilize Benthic to manage SQL queries for Oracle databases and validate data behind the scenes.
Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Project & Risk Management
Provide accurate time estimates, manage QA project plans, and identify risks during testing phases.
Implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and reduce cycle time
