How you will make history here…
This position has the overall responsibility to make sure that the sanitation standards implemented at the facility are in compliance with regulatory, 3rd party, and internal Campbell’s standards, supporting the facilities’ Quality and Food Safety Programs.
They will act as a liaison with USDA FSIS, FDA, or other 3rd party auditors, such as SQF, regarding sanitation related non-conformances and corrective action plans while facilitating positive relations and pro-active management. In addition, they will be the primary QA contact for Pest Control and Cleaning Chemical suppliers. This individual will provide leadership and support to overall key Food Safety/Quality program efforts such as: SQF certification audits, internal GAP assessment audits, facility verification/validation activities, Master Sanitation Plan, Food safety program, and Food Security initiatives. They will also support QA general management as needed, including supporting operations, pre-shipment review, and QA leadership coverage.
What you will do…
80% Sanitation and Pest Control Management
- Lead, develop and review the sanitation and pest control programs, systems, procedures, databases for the facility in compliance with Regulatory, 3rd party and corporate standards. Train and mentor employees in relation to these systems.
- Utilize technical skills and experience to trouble shoot sanitation, and pest control issues. Drive corrective action responses in the facility.
- Provide timely and accurate auditing of facility physical conditions, sanitation and GMP standards, documenting and initiating corrective action for any identified deficiencies.
- Manage development of standard work, training, cleaning validation, identification of operational savings, line cleaning change-over and turn-around efficiencies supporting improvements in plant total delivered cost.
- Monitor and facilitate SSOP tracking and documentation and drive improvement in sanitation performance (e.g., KPIs and sanitation performance standards).
- Support and lead Operational Excellence work including working with cross functional pillars and teams, regarding facility improvements, hygienic design and enhancements to sanitation SOPs.
- QA Contact for cleaning chemical and pest contracted service providers.
- Ensure sanitation validations and verifications are complete and up to date.
- Support and be plant liaison for corporate food safety sanitation initiatives and line start-ups.
- Support plant internal and 3rd party audits, including SQF, Regulatory, Organic, Military and USDA AMS certifications.
20% General QA Management
- Plan, perform, report and follow-up on quality system, sanitation and food safety audits assigned through DDS or the QA internal Audit program. Including HACCP, SSOP and GMP/housekeeping audits.
- QA representative for assigned area DDS team. QA representative for Op Ex pillar team.
- Perform Pre-shipment review of food safety and quality records, when assigned, for compliance to internal and regulatory requirements.
