QA Engineer (TS/SCI required)

IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DevOps to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Set up and maintain testing framework to include regression testing
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Use automated testing software to include Selenium or Cypress
• Evaluate product code according to specifications for each sprint / release cycle
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-fix/ post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Location: Employee is required to be in commutable distance to Charlottesville, VA or Washington, D.C. (DIA facilities)

Work Schedule: Hybrid - onsite for testing

Requirements

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years related experience
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail

Preferred:

• Prior development experience in any of the following: Java, Angular, Python, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL
• Form experience with intelligence community
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Familiarity with AWS based or GovCloud systems is a plus

Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI clearance and willing and able to obtain a CI Polygraph.
