QA Engineer

Company Description


The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing test cases and write test plans for large scale systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Develop and implement test cases and write test plans for large scale systems
• Perform analysis determining valid issues and suggest solutions
• Conduct large-scale distributed performance tests and manage a test infrastructure
• Develop supporting test tools
• Participate in the development lifecycle
• Drive efficiencies in the QA process
• Report regular status of testing
• Record and track defects through Web-based tools
• Script and execute load tests and analyze results
• Work with operations, DBAs and developers to help solve performance issues in the application, network, and environment
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES


• Ability to demonstrate a strong testing methodology
• Strong SQL skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, specifically documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality conscious, yet open and flexible to others ideas and suggestions
• Client service oriented
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a multi-tasking environment

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION


• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
◦ In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in computer science, engineering, benefits administration, or a related field
• 3+ years related experience
• 3+ years of experience using Selenium
• Experience with automated testing platforms and test scripting
• Test planning and test case build out experience
• Prior experience in benefit program administration and knowledge of Health and Welfare processes a plus
• Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered
