Overview

Our Deutsche Bank Sleuth team resides with Regulatory and Cross Product Information Technology (IT) Trader and Counterparty surveillance across all business sections of the Bank.  We are an engineering focused organization striving for the highest quality architecture, design, and code. As a Senior Engineer, will help to build our surveillance systems while working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Evolve the architecture of components and contribute to architectural decisions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate and refine stories

  • Design, implement, and test solutions, providing support through the production process

  • Implement behavior-driven development (BDD) techniques, collaborating closely with users, analysts and technologists for accuracy and calibration purposes

  • Build reliable software that is easy to support in production

  • Design and develop high-quality, easily maintainable code

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Full-Stack development with a focus on web-based applications and Rest services

  • Knowledge of Python (for services) and impala (for querying). Experience in SQL, Hadoop and associated big data technologies

  • Understanding of web fundamentals, such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Javascript, Typescript, and front-end development framework (React)

  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD), constant refactoring in continuous integration environment

  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $95k to $140k. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
