The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Purchasing Analyst, Financial Services [R0150827]
ROLE of the POSITION
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Purchasing Manager, or Senior Purchasing Analyst the Purchasing Analyst is responsible for administering a wide range of procurement activities, including competitive solicitations, purchase orders, and contract management. This position independently performs procurement functions in compliance with Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) policies, Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), UNLV policies and procedures, and public procurement best practices.
The Purchasing Analyst supports departmental, divisional, and university objectives and goals, while providing high-quality service to campus stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer procurements including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, IFBs, sole source procurements, purchase orders, construction solicitations, and contracts.
Prepare, negotiate, award, and administer contracts for goods and services throughout the full contract lifecycle.
Review, create, issue, and manage purchase orders and change orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and closeout.
Conduct market research and proactively assess opportunities to consolidate individual requests into campus-wide procurements to improve efficiency and pricing.
Ensure compliance with legal, insurance, and regulatory requirements in all procurement and contracting activities.
Coordinate and lead pre-bid meetings, job walks, bid openings, evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations.
Expedite orders and resolve supplier or departmental disputes in a timely and fair manner.
Support major procurement projects and ongoing contract administration efforts.
