About the role

Description

Woodhull Medical Center, a major teaching affiliate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine located in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonologists to join our dynamic hospital-based Pulmonary/Critical Care team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, evidence-based care while engaging in academic teaching and innovative clinical initiatives in a diverse, urban community setting.

Position Overview:

·         Provide comprehensive care for patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, lung cancer, and other pulmonary disorders

·         Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including biologics, inhaled therapies, and advanced pharmacologic interventions

·         Consult on preoperative risk assessments and coordinate perioperative respiratory care

·         Participate in the evaluation and management of patients in the ICU and step-down unit

·         Engage in outpatient services (~60%) and inpatient care (~40%), with rotational ICU and overnight call responsibilities

·         Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, PAs, and other healthcare professionals

·         Contribute to the education of over 60 internal medicine residents and medical students

Division Features:

·         Newly launched Asthma Comprehensive Care Center

·         State-of-the-art Pulmonary Function Laboratory

·         Expanding bronchoscopy suite with imaging-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both malignant and benign diseases, including pleural disorders

·         Medical Step-Down and Intensive Care Units with a total capacity of 24 beds

Qualifications:

·         MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine

·         Eligible for NY medical licensure

·         Commitment to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and teamwork

·         Strong interest in serving a diverse urban patient population


We offer a competitive compensation package and access to NYU Langone Health benefits, including:

·         Annual Base Salary: $306,000 – $350,000

·         403(b)/457 plans with 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)

·         Up to $30,000 in annual productivity-based revenue sharing

·         One-week paid CME + CME reimbursement ($3,000–$3,500 annually)
