The Opportunity:
As the Public Relations Communication Coordinator, you are responsible for developing and producing daily communication needs for the Washington State University (WSU) System President and the WSU Board of Regents, including development and production of presentations, talking points/scripts, websites, ghostwriting for the System President, and internal and external communications.
In this position, you will develop, research, write, edit, and coordinate complex original content for use in multiple communication media to promote and/or inform target audiences about the WSU System and the President’s priorities and activities.
You will work closely with University Marketing and Communications, the Office of the Provost, the WSU Pullman Chancellor, and units across the WSU system. You will also work with the System President, President’s Office staff, and University Marketing and Communications to determine a communications strategy for the System President’s Office.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 - $6,763.06 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field AND either two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with Wordpress or similar content management system.
Experience in higher education or a closely related field.
Experience developing digital communication vehicles.
Experience implementing multi-platform communication programs.
Experience communicating with diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience implementing internal communication vehicles.
Experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with message delivery over multiple platforms.
