Winter Term Begins: January 6, 2025 Winter Term Ends: March 15, 2025
Spring Term Begins: March 31, 2025 Spring Term Ends: June 14, 2025- These courses will be offered Face to Face for 2024-25 Academic Year
- Oregon residency is required for employment

*This position may have different locations of where classes will be held. Locations include the Port of Toledo and Taft Highschool.
Note: This position has additional non-teaching duties to be performed outside the classes listed above.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Student Success: Instruct students using approved course outcome guides and accurate syllabi. Prepare instructional materials as needed. Meet all assigned classes. Apply the college’s values for teaching and learning. Facilitate learning that applies to students’ academic and career goals. Meet the curricular needs of students at various learning levels. Encourage mutual responsibility for a supportive learning environment. Provide effective teaching strategies in an environment that encourages student and instructor interaction. Actively engage students in the learning process. Encourage creative and critical thinking. Evaluate and grade student progress. Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and scholastic progress.
Welding Provide instruction on a wide variety of welding and cutting processes in accordance with industry standards and department practices. Assist in the basic maintenance and repair of welding program equipment. Demonstrate continuous commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Assist in developing quality relationships with business, industry, and community members.
Professional Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners. Invited to participate in institutional work (such as accreditation and shared governance) to advance the College mission. Invited to attend and participate in meetings that are regional and state, college-wide, department, and program level.
