Consultation Psychiatry

We are an established non profit organization known throughout the world.  Our primary goal is to treat patients that are suffering from more severe chronic mental health illness.  As the psychiatric nurse practitioner, you would be working autonomously at one of our many locations right in the Midtown west area of Manhattan.  You would be working with other Physicians in an integrative care model doing consultative psychiatry.  You would have an opportunity to join a growing organization and enhance your skill set across many different spectrums of mental health treatment.  We offer flexible hours on a part time basis but may also consider someone full time.  Please see job highlights below.

Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location: Manhattan NY

Salary: $115 to $120/hour

Responsibilities:

Providing consultations for patients suffering from various mental health illnesses

Interacting with primary care physicians about patient’s mental health status

Helping to refer patient to other types of treatment services when necessary

Conducting psychiatric evaluations and determining if patient should seek additional treatment

Treating mostly adults patients suffering from hallucinations, schizophrenia, leukemia, and various other behavioral health and medical disorders

Documenting notes in EMR system

Requirements:

Must be board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Preferred at least 1 year of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience

Graduate of accredit Masters Degree Program (PMHNP)

Experience with chronic and severe mental illness a plus

Good communication skills
