Summary/Objective:
The Property Accountant supervisor is responsible for generating and reviewing property financial statements monthly, including oversight of payables and receivables. Responsible for performing various accounting tasks and analysis. The Property Accountant works closely with the Director of Finance and Accounting to ensure policies and procedures are maintained and followed. Supervise and train accounting staff, ensures companies' financial wellbeing by tracking revenue and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data, preparing special reports, maintaining internal controls and other best practices, and reporting activity to internal and external customers.
Essential Functions:
· Exercises responsibility for all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements of Senior Housing Options, Inc. and its properties.
· Assist the Director of Finance and Accounting in ensuring preparation of monthly financial statement reports for all assigned properties. Analyzes and explains variations in financial results.
· Review financial statements with Property Managers and Administrators as required
· Accomplishes all monthly activity and journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, analysis of Yardi reports, reviewing receipt transactions, payable transactions, and security deposits.
· Works with Yardi and Director of Finance and Accounting to resolve all questions and issues that arise with the accounting software and its performance.
· Undertakes continuous review of the general ledger activity and financial reports to ensure reasonableness and accuracy.
· Monitors bank activity daily and communicates anomalies to the Director of Accounting and Finance and involved management.
· Prepares and reviews all monthly bank reconciliations on all cash accounts.
· Serves as backup staff member for check processing, as necessary.
· Reviews outstanding accounts receivable, meeting with Accounts Receivable Specialist, Junior Accountant, and Director of Accounting and Finance to make recommendations on issues, write offs, allowances, and other matters.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience
· 4+ years' experience in property accounting role
· Supervisor experience a plus
· Fluent in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, etc.)
· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level
Expected Hours of Work:
This role is considered full-time, exempt from overtime.
