GDIT has an opportunity for a Project/Task Manager to support a new and exciting federal program that consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services. This program will support the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.
HOW A PROJECT/TASK MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects
- Oversees all aspects of projects
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project
- Prepares reports for customer regarding status of project
- Manages the operational aspects of current projects and serves as liaison between customer, planning, project team, and organizational management
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
- Assess project issues and develops potential solutions to meet project goals and objectives
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- The Project Manager role may also serve as the Product Manager or Scrum Master on Agile teams
- The product owners manage the product development process to ensure that customers' needs are met
- Product owners also work with agile teams to determine product features and manage product backlog, as well as communicate with stakeholders
- Scrum Masters serve as facilitators for agile teams utilizing the scrum methodology
- They are responsible for understanding the big picture of each sprint
- A Scrum Master facilitates the communication and collaboration between leadership and team players to ensure a successful outcome

Education
- Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science or equivalent
Experience
- 6+ years of related experience
Security Clearance Level
- Obtain and/or maintain clearance if required for the position
