 Responsibilities

What we expect

  • The selected candidate will have the responsibility of developing comprehensive baseline schedules, completing schedule progress updates, and preparing schedule update narratives on multiple (3+) projects in collaboration with the site team and trade partners to meet key milestones.
  • The candidate will evaluate construction sequencing to help the project team plan efficient workflows, assist the project team in planning and sequencing work relative to the project schedule, assess project schedules to identify and mitigate scheduling conflicts and compression, and review schedules from a safety perspective, identifying potential safety concerns and incorporating mitigation points where applicable.
  • The candidate will also review two-to-three-week lookahead schedules with the project team for accuracy, project risk, and sequencing, evaluate and communicate construction critical path(s) to the project team, trader partners, and the Customer, and evaluate and communicate to the project team the impact of Customer decisions, design delays, and trade partner progress on the project schedule to mitigate critical path delays and prepare time impact analyses (TIAs) as required.
  • The candidate is expected to effectively mentor junior team members, assist with the onboarding process for junior team members joining the project team, motivate others, and foster an environment of teamwork.
  • Must always be looking for opportunities to learn and develop new skills to enhance project schedule performance. Lead by example and hold team members accountable for adhering to Gray's policies and procedures.

 Qualifications

Who we want

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of construction scheduling experience.
  • The ideal candidate should possess an understanding of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes of work, as well as an understanding of the design process relative to the project schedule.
  • Understanding of project administration, including the submittal process, document control requirements, and change management.
  • Understanding of earned value management and the ability to cost and manpower load schedules.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of schedule software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and schedule principles such as schedule logic, predecessors, successors, and float.
  • Able to develop a comprehensive baseline schedule in collaboration with the site team and trade partners to meet key milestones. 
  • Should be able to complete schedule progress updates and schedule update narratives on multiple (3+) projects in collaboration with the site team and trade partners to meet key milestones and deliver projects on time.
  • Should be able to evaluate construction sequencing to help the project team plan efficient workflows and be able to assess project schedules to identify and mitigate scheduling conflicts and compression.
  • Review schedules from a safety perspective, identifying potential safety concerns and incorporating mitigation points where applicable.
