FCN Project Manager Position

Position Summary:

This position will provide project management leadership in support of the Florida Center for Nursing (FCN) Executive Director. This role will ensure structured planning and forward progress on priority initiatives while maintaining visibility across the broader portfolio of work. The position will provide organizational, confidential, and technical support to enhance the effectiveness of the Executive Director and will be responsible for overseeing resources and operational responsibilities related to strategic projects. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Include providing project management leadership in support of key initiatives, ensuring structured planning, execution, and progress across concurrent priorities; and delivering the administrative and logistical coordination necessary to support effective implementation and communication among internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibility details:

Project planning and execution:

  • Assist with developing and maintaining project plans and timelines. 
  • Track project progress, proactively identify challenges, and propose solutions. 
  • Ensure information is organized and accessible.

Communication and coordination:

  • Facilitate communication between Executive Director, FCN and CON team members, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and forward progress. 
  • Coordinate logistics for calendar management. 
  • Coordinate meetings to include tasks such as preparation of agendas and meeting materials. 
  • Record meeting minutes that document key decisions and action items and track follow-up to ensure completion.

Administrative support:

  • Supervise senior administrative assistant. 
  • Manage logistics for ED’s long range planning calendar. 
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed for ED projects to move forward. 
  • Gather data and provide analysis to support ED as needed to execute projects.

Other:

Support FCN Directors in advancing key projects and priorities.

Assist FCN Administrative team with day-to-day activities as needed.

Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least four years of professional related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience equal to 4 years.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
