RBA are seeking a Senior Project Manager (ideally 7+ Years experience) with expert MS Project skills, for a 2 Year Fixed Term Salaried Contract, to lead an extensive technology project within Core Infrastructure Modernisation Program.
Objectives:
Manage, plan and direct all aspects of work for a project to ensure it delivers outcomes necessary to realise benefits as agreed by the project sponsor.
Apply a structured project management approach and methodology, ensuring adherence to internal frameworks, processes and practices to effectively manage all aspects of the project.
Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans.
Identify and manage risks and issues, develop plans to mitigate risk and implement these in a timely manner, measuring effectiveness.
Monitor the progress of plans identifying variances early allowing corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner, minimising impact.
Organise project teams, assigning individual responsibilities and monitoring progress.
Manage change throughout the lifecycle of the project ensuring decisions are made in a timely manner with full knowledge of the impact to outcomes and realisation of benefits.
Identify, plan and complete communication activities to ensure they provide information in a timely and relevant manner and clearly communicate the intended messages.
Identify stakeholders, develop appropriate plans and complete activities to ensure necessary levels of engagement are maintained throughout the life of the project.
Complete project within the agreed parameters of schedule, budget, resources, scope, quality and benefits, identifying and resolving obstacles that would prevent achievement.
Provide expertise and leadership in the area of project management ensuring good practices which are fit-for-purpose are being used in addition to increasing the organisational maturity within business areas for project and program management.
Technical Capabilities:
Proven experience building team rapport and creating opportunities to facilitate collaboration within the team.
Demonstrated ability to simplify complexities for a complete and accurate analysis
Strong networking capability; demonstrated experience building networks of influence to support project outcomes.
Ability to influence management and senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience of capitalising on opportunities that result in improved project value or execution.
Proven track record of achieving high performance with a team and promoting continuous learning and advocating professional and personal development.
Demonstrated initiative in driving projects forward and ability to make timely decisions based on facts while managing ambiguity.
Qualifications
Ideally you have previous experience as a Master Scheduler
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
Desirable PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Desirable Professional certification of a widely used Project or Program Management discipline. This may include Agile related certifications if appropriate (Certified Scrum Master certification or equivalent certification in Agile methodologies).
