What we want
The Project Manager I manages project activities for the grant titled, “A Needs Assessment of Occupational Safety and Health Concerns among Vietnamese Texas Nail Salon Workers” including community engagement; conducting community-based participatory research; developing, implementing, tracking budgets; tracking timelines and deliverables; and providing periodic evaluations and reports for projects that are generally small in scope.

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

Travel: This position may require up to 50% (specify percentage) or more travel

Language: Must be fluent in Vietnamese (speaking, reading, and writing); ideally southern dialect
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of related program/project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
5 years of experience in program/project management
Certified Project Manager
Background in occupational safety and health issues Background in qualitative and quantitative analysis
Based in Houston or willing to travel regularly to the Houston metropolitan area
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be fluent in Vietnamese (speaking, reading, and writing); ideally southern dialect
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs
Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning
Ability to facilitate and adapt course and the course content
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving
