Job Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team! As a Project Manager, you will make a significant and immediate impact leading a variety of projects, both technical and operations, of varying sizes, from start to finish by coordinating the players and keeping them up to date on progress and deadlines; developing and managing to the project budget, schedule, and operating procedures; and gathering and reporting consolidated project status. You will be instrumental as a member of a small PMO to contribute to the PMO processes and continual improvement.
As a Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects and be accountable for execution within the defined project constraints
- Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects
- Develop detailed project plans/methods to monitor and track progress
- Perform risk management to communicate, minimize, and mitigate project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Provide weekly reports on activities and project status
- Efficiently manage multiple projects of varying sizes
- Continuously improve project management practices based on lessons learned in the design and implementation processes
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- 3-5 years project management experience in telecom, data or IT
- PMP (PMI) or CSM certification required
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices
- Ability to work with customers, understand their business practices and manage their expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to balance the competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost
- Solid understanding of Scrum / Kanban Agile Methodology and working experience in this area
