About the role

Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Somerset, NJ is hiring a Project Manager. This person will lead Project teams in the management and successful delivery of assigned Projects/customer relationships, advocating for the customer and Catalent as a whole. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners, developing solution-based approaches for project issues, communicate via teleconference and email, and promote continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.

This is a full-time position: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Catalent in Somerset, NJ is home to oral solid dose manufacturing operations as part of the Oral and Specialty Delivery (OSD) business unit. On site we have our state-of-the-art laboratory, clinical, and commercial manufacturing plant for oral dose forms in addition to being the Catalent Center of Excellence for handling Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

The Role

  • Under own direction for assigned projects coordinate projects from award stage to completion ensuring correct planning timelines are generated, monitored and tracked to ensure successful adherence and completion
  • Coordinate customer meetings/calls/customer visits to support own assigned projects and understand full scope requirements to generate all required project documentation such as agendas/meeting minutes/timelines
  • Set up customers on SharePoint site as required, provide ongoing support for customer use and password management
  • Accurately Forecast program revenue and ensure Purchase order receipt (as needed) for each program assigned and invoice approvals throughout the month to meet site forecasting process
  • Support NPIx (New Project Introduction Excellence) program by preparing presentations/reviews for leadership meetings
  • Collect KPI data for key milestones and customer temperature/health
  • Support establishing scope for Quotations/Quote amendments for existing client pipeline work and new requests/needs
  • All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

  • Bachelors degree is required; Masters degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or another relevant discipline is preferred
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in Project Management or Customer Service or similar is required
  • Relevant experience leading teams in business development, analytical, or product development is a plus
  • Professional Project Management Qualification preferred
  • Experience with Smartsheets or a similar software is preferred
  • Ability to lead a team and motivate others is preferred
  • Familiarity with the drug development process and GMP Quality systems is preferred
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
