As a Project Manager I- Procedures Team in the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will be part of the Procedures Team as a Procedure Editor to support the day-to-day editing and maintenance of published documents. You will edit and maintain internal procedures for clarity and consistency.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage a queue of ongoing business-as-usual (BAU) change requests from business partners for document updates.
  • Oversee the annual attestation process for a specific set of documents, including managing the review schedule and completing related change requests.
  • Ensure documents adhere to templates and style guidelines by Applying style standards and using project processes and templates, Converting procedures from passive to active voice and using numbered lists and if-then tables as needed, Identifying keywords to improve searchability, Analyzing and recommending changes, documenting procedures, identifying process gaps, and suggesting alternative documentation methods, and Securing necessary approvals and finalizing documents for publication.
  • Conduct time-sensitive quality assurance checks and peer reviews for team members.
  • Assist with posting supporting documents and generating updates using the publishing application and provide information to support communications related to procedural changes.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with business partners to discuss trends and key metrics and participate in the creation of new library builds.
  • Manage projects related to business partner procedure implementation and updates, including multiple changes and complete rewrites.
  • Respond to client requests accurately and within agreed timelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in procedure writing/editing, particularly in reformatting detailed documents into clear, concise steps.
  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience in financial services and procedure writing/editing.
  • Knowledge of financial services operations and awareness of regulatory and compliance environments and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs/software for collaboration and workflow and familiarity with external style guides (Chicago Manual of Style, Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications, AP Stylebook).
  • Working knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Positive team player with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency and ability to analyze, recommend, and document procedures while identifying process gaps and suggesting alternatives.
