About the role
Turning Point Global Solutions LLC (TurningPoint) is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Government Telecom. This position is contingent upon program award.
As a Project Manager, with expertise in government telecom support, you will serve as the official interface between TurningPoint and the client, overseeing all aspects of the program including overall leadership and management responsibility for the project, customer interactions, deliverables, and team performance. Customer engagements cover all aspects of telecom, including wireline, wireless, satellite, equipment, licenses, security, and professional services. A proficiency in one or more of these areas, and experience in the federal telecom, carrier, and contracting environments is important to being successful in this role and being able to provide value quickly.
Location: TurningPoint headquarters in Rockville, MD with on-site visits to customers and hybrid options available.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, Government Telecom, your responsibilities include:- Functioning as the Project Lead for customer engagements, to include services and software solutions. - Engaging with the customer as the primary liaison and internal champion of customer needs. - Documenting and owning the project plan and status reporting, to include scope, schedule, deliverables, resource utilization, and risks. - Tracking and reporting on all aspects of various projects.- Providing Internal Project Reporting and Financials.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive and excel in this role, candidates are expected to have:
Required Skills: -Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.-Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Program or Project Management capacity. -A bachelor's degree or higher level degree-Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with telecom lifecycle management, TEMS, and telecom carrier environments.--Ability to build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and work with internal staff to ensure all service and deliverables provided are of high quality and exceed customer expectations. -Ability to network with clients to determine and evaluate their business needs with the aim of setting priorities -Strong planning skills and time management. -Ability to define solutions, via problem solving skillsets, are also required for management of service-related issues affecting clients and team members alike. -Previous project management experience in a government PMO environment. -Proficiency with data analysis, billing analysis, and associated tools. -Ability to identify, analyze, and document business requirements-Strong verbal and written communication skills; previous customer facing experience-Leadership skills to oversee and mentor subject matter expert and Analyst resources-Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills:-Previous work experience in service delivery, program management, and leadership skills are a plus.-Skilled in the development of documentation, customer reports, and data spreadsheets-Ability to work with multiple cross functional teams, comfortable in Agile environments-Telecom Expense Management expertise a major advantage-Aptitude to add value to TurningPoint's overall business, including data, goals, process, and organization-Experience with Federal contracts, telecom carrier web portals, and carrier service ordering-Experience working with WEB based enterprise applications -Experience with SQL, MS Excel, MS Project
