Position Summary
As the Project Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects within the foundation. Your role will include budget development, financial analysis, and risk management to help ensure that our projects meet organizational goals while staying fiscally responsible. As a key member of our team, you’ll work closely with our CFO to oversee the financial aspects of our diverse projects, ensuring they are financially sound and aligned with our mission of positive social impact. If you have a strong finance background and a passion for community-driven work, we’d love to have you on board to help steer the financial health of our impactful programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of project budgets, working closely with project teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze financial data and generate reports that provide clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and project teams.
- Build and manage pro formas to assess project viability, forecast financial outcomes, and ensure projects are financially sustainable.
- Keep track of project expenses, identify potential budgetary risks, and implement strategies to stay within budget.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential financial risks, ensuring all financial decisions align with the foundation’s objectives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare necessary documents for audits, reviews, and financial reporting.
- Partner with the CFO to support the team in making strategic financial decisions that further the foundation’s mission and long-term goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. A Master’s degree or CPA/CFA is a major plus, but not required.
- 3-5+ years of experience in project finance, budgeting, or financial analysis, preferably within the nonprofit or grant-funded sectors.
- Mastery of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is a plus.
