Project Manager- Finance (Back Office)

Job Overview/Summary:

The Finance Back Office PM is responsible for project implementation of the ERP, expense management system and treasure systems at clients' that are undergoing a transformation and change currently. Representing the finance department’s business interests on the team and responsible for day-to-day project management work on these back-office initiatives. Working closely with ERP/expense management project team members, solution architects and business program leads. This role is very high in terms of accountability and the candidate needs to take full ownership of these projects with multi-tasking ability and should be able to drive several projects independently

• Organizes and leads the finance transformation projects for the ERP/expense/treasury management teams through Azure DevOps board etc.
• Understands core financial processes and the impact of transactional changes on downstream processes
• Contributes to all finance process & system requirements, design and review sessions and detailed business scenarios to help define and test the solution
• Acts as liaison to and coordinator of input from the Finance subject matter experts, extended core team and field experts in our US and international offices

• Presents the project updates to senior business stakeholders, identifies clear next steps/action items and ensures closures/completions on them
• Organizes and controls business acceptance testing of the solution for these projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance is preferable
• Solid experience in project management practices, preferably with finance teams
• Knowledge of financial processes
• Experience with ERP/system implementations is a plus
• Prior experience with digital tools such as Power BI / Azure, Alteryx a plus
• Experience in Azure DevOps and/or agile development is a plus
• Ability to develop strong, strategic partnerships with finance, programs, and operations staff
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and above-average organization skills
• Attention to detail, a drive for accuracy, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to accurately process detailed information
