Overview

We’re looking for a Project Manager to support engineering projects in an enterprise telecom/broadband organization. This Project Manager will execute engineering projects related to any one of the following areas: Technical and Engineering delivery of a new product, service, or device; process optimization and/or automation of a technical delivery process; migration and management of customers from legacy systems and platforms to new; infrastructure hardware deployment; software development and releases; or application integration. This Project Manager role is responsible for hands on development of creating and maintaining relevant project artifacts/documentation and reports while also ensuring discipline in standardizing and optimizing processes and procedures. This position is a fully remote role, working mostly MST time zone.

Duties & Responsibilities

Daily program/project management throughout the program life cycle.

Document program and project deliverables and utilize formal PMP methodology.

Plan and monitor the progress of complex programs and multiple workstreams.

Identify, develop, and drive solutions, while simultaneously gaining executive agreement, to move the program forward.

Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning for project roadmaps.

Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements.

Build and manage Program business case and budget.

Guide, coach, mentor, and utilize resources across projects.

Facilitate and lead regular project meetings, including capturing action items and decisions.

Manage project sponsor, stakeholder, and team member communications. Ensure cross functional/workstream collaboration and transparency into delivery, risks, issues, etc.

Support integrated reporting, status, and deliverable tracking across the project.

Holds project team accountable for deliverables and commitments.

Support Program Manager to summarize workstream status, escalations, and next steps.

Identify program KPIs to assess impact.

Align deliverables to the program/project workstream’s outcome.

Own overall integrated project plan and manage cross-functional resources, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goal.

Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress.

Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)

Ensure team(s) maintains focus on quality, continuous delivery, and objectives.

Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with team to continuously improve.

Execute Project Management across multiple workstreams to ensure a cohesive delivery plan.

Ensure the respective readiness reviews and tests are coordinated and conducted in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning and accountability for project roadmaps and strategy.

Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of cross-functional teams.

Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates must have strong practical experience in program and/or project management, gained through managing large and complex projects. Candidates must have the following:

Minimum of 5-7 years program/project management experience managing multiple workstreams within the cable, broadband, phone, or satellite industry.

Previous experience in Engineering, IT, network architecture/infrastructure, or systems management is helpful.

Willingness and ability to dive deep and learn, including retention of important information.

Must be a strong driver to consistently keep team focused on task at hand and objectives.

Proven knowledge of project and program management methodology
