Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has and exciting opportunity for a Project Management Specialist - Mid-Level or Senior (Level 3 or 4) to join the Proprietary Air Dominance Team based in Hazelwood, MO located in the St. Louis area.

This position reports to the Proprietary Air Dominance Program Integration Office (PIO) Senior Manager.  A successful candidate will have familiarity partnering in cross-functional teams as well as experience in project management.  Resilience and an aptitude for metric visualization with an ability to work independently are preferred.

In this role you will support the program by preparing, analyzing, integrating, and presenting program performance metrics. You will manage cross-organizational Risk, Issue, Opportunity (RIO) strategy and execution. You will manage Affordability impacts through development and implement Boeing Program Management Best Practices. You will manage acquisition, movement, and maintenance of program dedicated facilities and office space.

Secondary responsibilities will also include helping the Program Management Office problem-solve emergent issues and project-manage special projects supporting the program.

You will be called upon to brief and provide to senior managers and the program leadership team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated metrics for complex projects, programs and change driven activities across the program
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Provide clear, concise project performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and proactively addressing challenges
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate ability to be flexible and action-oriented

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience in project management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and/or customers
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience creating dashboards or metric visualization, tools such as Confluence and Jira
  • Able to work independently without high levels of supervision (self-motivated)
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel Requirements: up to 10% Travel may be required
