About the role

Project Management Associate

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in science or related field. Five (5) years of full-time experience in research project management. Experience with grant writing, budget oversight, team coordination, data management, and/or dissemination of findings.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in clinical research operations and regulatory compliance. Prior experience working in an academic medical center environment.

Brief description of duties:
The ideal applicant will have the ability to lead and manage research initiatives from inception to completion. The ideal applicant will also have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

Project management and administration:

  • Developing and implementing research strategies.

  • Coordinating with team members and stakeholders.

  • Managing project timelines and budgets.

  • Recruitment of research personnel, drafting job advertisements, screening candidates.

  • Organizing the onboarding and training of research coordinators.

  • Develop accessible on-line, project management resources.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Oversee data collection, storage, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, as well as quality improvement.

  • Prepare data summaries for sponsor and federal audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

Scientific Writing, Reporting, and Documentation: 

  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external audiences.

  • Write summaries for social media and newsletters to increase research impact via public engagement and social media.

  • Assist in writing scientific manuscripts and grants.

Communications, Networking, and Public Engagement: 

  • Maintain Clinical Trials website, liaison with marketing for advertisement of CTUs and recruitment of participants into clinical trials.

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including researchers, clients, and funding agencies, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns.

Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
